Who needs to take the UKVI B1 Test?

UKVI B1 Test is designed to determine if the applicant meets the UKVI language proficiency standard. For applicants who wish to apply for British citizenship or indefinite leave to remain (to settle) in the UK, the standard is CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B1.

What happens during the test?

The test is comprised of two sections: personal topic section and conversation section.

The test lasts 10 minutes.

The test will check the candidates’ English speaking and listening only.

You will receive the provisional results on the same day.

Your certificate will be sent within 7 days.

How long will I need to prepare for it?

The recommended length of time to prepare for UKVI B1 test is two to three months.
