Who needs to take the Life in the UK Test?
Those who wish to apply for British citizenship or settlement in the UK need to take Life in the UK Test.
What happens during the test?
Life in the UK test is designed to determine if the applicant has a basic understanding of British politics, history, culture and daily life.
You have 45 minutes to answer 24 questions based on the Life in the United Kingdom handbook.
You must score 75% or more to pass the test.
If you fail the test, you must wait 7 days before taking the test again, but you can take the test as many times as you need to. You need to book and pay again each time.
How long will I need to prepare for it?
The recommended length of time to prepare for Life in the UK test is two to three months.
